Tart (2001)

The beginning of the movie was confusing and the rest of it was predictable. It was just one of those movies that I came across in my netflix instant queue and I thought it would be interesting to see Brad Renfro and Bijou Phillips team up together again since Bully.

The screenplay for "Tart" had the feel of the writer's personal experience growing up among the New York elite and attending a posh prep school. Unfortunately, the experience was depressing from the perspective of the protagonist Cat Storm, as well as the audience.

Betcha my bottom dollar (not that I have any) that Dominique Swain watched MY SO- CALLED LIFE. She channels Angela Chase in her movie GIRL (which I've only seen snippets of) and again, here in TART.
